Seth's Concert

Tonight was Seth's first band concert for Payne Jr. High. Mr. C is the director, and for anyone who had kids in band at Power Ranch, you've been to one of his concerts. Seth's band played Armed Forces March, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Pirates of the Carribbean. The 8th grade band played Star Wars/Indiana Jones, Pirates and a couple others that Chad has played in 7th grade at Power Ranch. Chad was having a walk down memory lane because he had played every one of the songs, so that means we've heard every one of them. But the kids did a great job. Both of the bands are quite big, which impressed me. One weird thing they do at Payne is split up the band for practice. Mr. C said that tonight was the first time they had all played together. I know the percussion practices alone, but the woodwinds and brass practice seperately too. Weird! Seth did get to play Pirates with the 8th grade band. Way to go Seth! Good job!
